Mosswood is a cozy (hygge, gezellig) 700 sq ft cabin located on 40 acres of the Pembina Escarpment. 8000 years ago, it would have been lakefront property on Glacial Lake Agassiz, but now, it’s 37 acres of gorgeous parkland with Bur Oak, Aspen, Basswood, Birch, and a seasonal creek winding its way through a deep ravine. The remaining three acres are meadow containing wildflowers, Big Bluestem grasses, and even some Wild Asparagus.
Fauna include deer, coyotes, porcupines, foxes, racoons, rabbits, and a wild array of hawks, songbirds, and raptors for all of your birding enjoyment.
The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, running water, a double bed on the main floor, a loft with three single beds, a wood stove and electric heat, a toilet, and a shower. All of the dishes, utensils, and appliances you’ll need are supplied, as are bedding and towels. Additional features include an electric sauna (4 people) and a two seater outhouse – if you like company!
This is our family cabin, and we’d love to see it used during the times we’re not enjoying it.
